The Flashforge Finder is a high quality, 3D printer with the latest extrusion technology, suitable for education, engineering, design and home/hobby printing.

Fully assembled, user-friendly and loaded with easy to use features, Finder is capable of printing ‘right out of the box’, with only a few ‘tweaks’, making it the perfect starter printer and the first choice for 3D printing novices and educators.

The Finder provides a unique printing experience that is quiet and safe to operate, essential for classroom and home use, and with a 3.5″ touch screen and Wi-Fi enabled connectivity. Finder allows you to print from a mobile device without a wired connection.

The novice printer can be assured that with a slide-in plate, assisted bed-levelling and the intuitive colour touchscreen, Finder leads the way in the creative world of 3D printing, opening possibilities only limited by imagination.

Safe and Quiet

Finder is a clean modern design with all cables concealed and heating components safely encased within a plastic alloy frame that looks and feels sturdy. The brightly coloured square shape has rounded corners and edges and provides a 180-degree view of the printing process. The build volume is 140x140x140mm on every axis, and the print bed doubles as a sliding tray that is easy to insert and remove. The single non-toxic PLA filament loads easily via the filament guide tube and produces clear, simple creations. Safe to use with children and with a noise level as low as 50db, Finder’s ‘easy to use’ features deliver a positive and productive printing experience.

Key to Finder are the icons and instructions on the touch screen that are clear, to follow making calibration easy and precise and ensuring a level printing surface. The user is given visual cues to adjust the print bed for a smooth printing process every time. Finder is a quiet, safe printer suitable for classroom or home, printing creations from the practical to wildly imaginative.

PLA

Finder uses PLA which is an excellent filament for 3D printing because the point where it becomes mouldable, is relatively low at 60-65°C. PLA is one of the cheapest filaments readily available for home 3D printing and because it is made from starch and sugar cane by-products, it is a renewable product and biodegradable. Although PLA is an excellent build material, is not as impact-resistant or as rigid as ABS, so cannot be used for making many industrial products. PLA will become biodegrade in rain, and will melt when put in contact with anything over 65°C.
